River Ilston Investigation

Aims of the day:

  • To reinforce our learning about rivers and hydrology for AS Paper 1
  • To plan and collect data to answer the question: “To what extent does the River Ilston conform to Bradshaw’s Ideal Stream Model?”
  • To collate data and learn new presentation techniques
  • To analyse the data using Spearman’s Rank Correlation Coefficient and other techniques
  • To reflect on the strengths and weaknesses of the investigation
